Tuohia – Finnish fishing traditions and new innovations
Fishing is more than a hobby – it is a lifestyle passed down from father to son as a legacy. Tuohia is a family business rooted in the landscapes of Viitasaari’s fish-rich rapids, with a heart set on offering anglers sustainable, Finnish, and genuinely functional solutions. The legendary story of the Viikki bait rig now continues in our hands, as it rightfully deserves.
A passion for fishing and solving real-world problems
Behind Tuohia is the Tuohimetsä family, for whom fishing has been an inseparable part of life since they were knee-high. We have always headed out onto the water as soon as we were able to stand in a boat. Solid practical experience means we understand the real needs, joys, and frustrations of anglers. When this lifelong passion is combined with our long entrepreneurial background, products are born that fulfill a genuine demand.
Viikki bait rig – Handcrafted and high-performance
It all began in 2020 when we acquired the legendary Viikki Raksi business. Developed by Veikko Viikki of Vaajakoski, the Viikki bait rig combines the swimming action of a lure with the irresistibly attractive nature of a natural baitfish. Viikki bait rigs are handcrafted in Finland. Whether you are targeting zander, pike, or trout, you will find the right gear with us. Tuohix lure cover – Safety and ease on the water
In 2022, our selection expanded with our own unique innovation. Frustrated by tangled lures, we developed the Tuohix lure cover, which uses a spring mechanism to wrap firmly around the lure. Thanks to this, there is no need to detach lures during transport, and sharp hooks stay away from car seats, fingers, and pets' noses. Tuohix helps with the storage and transportation of your lures.
